Patricia Reilly Giff

Patricia Reilly Giff, the author of more than 60 books for children, wanted to write from the first time she picked up a book and read as a child. She was a teacher for 20 years before writing her first book. She is the recipient of the Newbery Honor for Pictures of Hollis Woods and Lily’s Crossing, which is also a Boston Globe–Horn Book Honor Book. Nory Ryan’s Song was named an ALA Best Book for Young Adults and an ALA Notable Book. Her most recent book is Willow Run (Wendy Lamb/Random House, Sept. 13, 2005). She lives in Connecticut.
