Best-selling sportswriter John Feinstein spent 11 years on the staff of The Washington Post as well as writing for Sports Illustrated, Inside Sports, and other sports magazines. He is the author of numerous books that detail events and personalities in major sports, including his first book, A Season on the Brink (1986), a best-seller. He was inspired to write his most recent book, Last Shot: A Final Four Mystery (Random House, 2005), by his 10-year-old son, a basketball fan. Mr. Feinstein, a commentator for National Public Radio and Sporting News Radio, lives in Maryland.
