Patricia MacLachlan

Patricia MacLachlan

Patricia MacLachlan has written numerous critically acclaimed books for children of all ages, including the 1986 Newbery Medal winner Sarah Plain and Tall (1985), which later became a popular Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie. Journey( 1991) and Baby (1993) were named ALA Notable Books and ALA Best Books for Young Adults. Her recent book is Bittle (HarperCollins, 2004) and More Perfect Than the Moon (HarperCollins, 2004), which continues the story of Sarah Plain and Tall. She and her husband live in Williamsburg, Mass.
