Lois McMaster Bujold

Lois McMaster Bujold was an avid reader in childhood and by age nine was reading science fiction, an interest she inherited from her father, a college engineering professor. Her early writing efforts began in junior high school; however, it wasn’t until after college, travel and work as a pharmacy technician that her first professional writing, a short story, appeared in Twilight Zone Magazine in 1985. She has since written more than 20 science fiction novels and novellas and has won Hugo and Nebula Awards for her work. Her latest novel is the fantasy Paladin of Souls (Baen Books, 2003). She lives in Minneapolis.
