Author Biography

David Maraniss

David Maraniss

David Maraniss, whose journalism career began in college, has written for many newspapers, including The Washington Post, where he served as Southwest Bureau chief for seven years and is currently writer-at-large on the national staff. He has won several awards for writing, including the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1993. He is the author of They Marched Into Sunlight: War and Peace in Vietnam and America, October 1967 (Simon & Schuster, 2003). He lives in the District of Columbia.
