Author Biography

Nelson DeMille

Nelson DeMille

Bestselling author Nelson DeMille started out writing police detective novels in the mid-1970s under a pen name after a stint in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He later became an insurance fraud investigator before giving up his day job and committing himself to writing full time under his own name. His most recent book is Up Country (Warner paperback, April 2003), and he is working on another novel featuring the character of Detective John Corey from Plum Island (1997) and The Lion's Game (2000) for release in 2004. He lives on Long Island.
