Haynes Johnson

Haynes Johnson has reported on all U.S. Presidents and virtually every major news event over the past four decades as a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, television commentator, and best-selling author. Appearing regularly on the television programs Washington Week in Review and The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer, Mr. Johnson has also served as a national reporter, assistant managing editor, and a national affairs columnist for The Washington Post since 1969. He is the author of 11 books, including three national bestsellers: Sleepwalking Through History (1991), The Bay of Pigs (1964), and The Landing (1986), his first novel. Mr. Johnson's most recent book is The Best of Times: America in the Clinton Years (Harcourt, 2002).
