Christopher Paul Curtis

Christopher Paul Curtis

Christopher Paul Curtis's first novel, The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963 (1995), won him the 1996 Newbery and Coretta Scott King honors. His second novel, Bud, Not Buddy (Delacorte, 2000), was awarded the 2000 Newbery Medal and was named a 2000 Coretta Scott King Award Winner. Born in Flint, Michigan, where his first two novels are set, Mr. Curtis now lives in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, where he is working on novels three and four, also set in Flint.
