Michael Beschloss

Michael Beschloss

Michael Beschloss is an award-winning historian of the presidency and author of six books. He is also a regular commentator on PBS's The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and a contributor to ABC News. His most recent book is Taking Charge: The Johnson White House Tapes 1963 - 1964 (Simon & Schuster, 1997), the first volume of the trilogy on the Johnson tapes. The second volume, Reaching for Glory, will be published by Simon & Schuster this November. Currently, Mr. Beschloss is working on a history of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. He lives in Washington, D.C.
