A Joint Project of the Library of Congress Rio de Janeiro Office and the Fundação Biblioteca Nacional
For many years the Fundação Biblioteca Nacional (Brazilian National Library) and the Library of Congress jointly sponsored a microfilming project for several Brazilian newspaper titles. Due to several constraints, this project was suspended from the late 1980s until 1999 when it resumed.
Since then the following Brazilian titles have been filmed:
- Estado de São Paulo (1994 - 2006)
- Folha da manhã (1925 - 1959)
Continued by Folha de São Paulo
- Folha de São Paulo (1960 - 1966)
Back issues. Not microfilmed on regular basis
- Gazeta Mercantil (1994 - 1999)
Title ceased
- O Globo (1999 - 2006)
- Jornal do Brasil (1994 - 2007, January - October 2008)
- Jornal do Commercio (1994 - 2006, January - October 2007)
- Tribuna da Imprensa (1994 - 2007)
