In addition to his anchoring of the CBS Evening News over many years, Bob Schieffer also serves as anchor and moderator of “Face The Nation.” He has covered Washington for more than 30 years and is one of the few broadcast or print journalists to have covered all four major beats in the nation's capital—the White House, the Pentagon, the State Department and Capitol Hill. He has covered every presidential campaign and been a floor reporter at all of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions since 1972. Schieffer is a member of the Broadcasting/Cable Hall of Fame and was awarded the 2003 Paul White Award of the Radio and Television News Directors Association for lifetime achievement. He has won six Emmy awards, two Sigma Delta Chi awards, and been named Broadcaster of the Year by the National Press Foundation.
