Classification

BR115.N48

Under BR115, there is a see reference from Medicine to BT732+. The work being cataloged seems appropriate to be classed in BT732+. The proposal was not approved.

Subject Headings

Insurance, Assessment; Insurance, Banke; [and similar headings]

The Cataloging Policy and Support Office has undertaken a project to update all of the inverted headings of the type Insurance, [ ... ] to natural language forms and to re-evaluate the reference structures associated with these headings. The revisions will be appearing on weekly lists in batches over the course of the next several weeks. Existing bibliographic records will be updated shortly after the revised authority records are approved.

Ōshū-shi (Japan)

This appears to be a city in Japan formed by the merger of several smaller cities and municipalities. As such, it should be established as a jurisdictional name heading. The proposal to establish it as a subject heading was not approved.

Maxwell Street (Chicago, Ill.)

Maxwell Street and the Maxwell Street Market are two distinct entities for which there should be two separate headings. The proposal to change the BT for the street from Streets--Illinois to Markets--Illinois was not approved. A separate name heading may be established for the market.

Mountain Parks National Historic Sites (Alta. and B.C.)

This appears to be only a collective term used to refer to several individual historic sites as a group, and is not an entity in its own right and therefore not appropriate as a subject heading. The proposal was not approved.

Woodlawn (Portland, Or.)

This is a city section and should be established as a name heading. The proposal to establish it as a subject heading was not approved.
